We know by now that there are an excessive amount of opportunities for getting eyes on your photography, but we're still not convinced there are enough. So, this May, we're launching a new series of group shows that will live exclusively on Instagram. But don't worry, we have no plans to halt our regular programming.
How it Works:
Unlike our quarterly online shows with ridiculous, f'd up or highfalutin themes, the parameters for this are pretty simple. For the last week of each month, we'll use the Humble Arts Foundation Instagram feed to curate a group show around a largely accessible theme. Like "portraits" or "landscapes:" our ultimate hope being that the craziness we often gravitate towards will come naturally, and potentially uncover some new directions among the usual categories.
To keep things transparent, we're announcing the first four super-accessible themes right here right now. You can submit to any of them at any time before the show goes "live."
How to Submit:
Tag your Instagram photos with the corresponding hashtag below. We'll curate a group show around each theme to go live with a few photos each day during the last week of each month. As simple as the themes might sound, our goal is to showcase work that pushes it to the edge of our expectations.
Not On Instagram? Sorry folks.
Deadline:
We're keeping this open-ended. You have pretty much until the day before the show goes live to submit.
