For Humble Arts Foundation's next online group show, we're looking for photography that addresses how urbanization has shifted in the past decade, with a specific focus on how architecture, culture and community have evolved in cities around the world.
How does "the grid" influence the psychology of space? How has gentrification impacted the urban landscape? Is increased development an extension of Manifest Destiny?
We will consider submissions ranging from documentary and street photography to abstraction, digitally altered, found and/or appropriated photo-based work.
Deadline: March 15th, 2015
Submission Guidelines:
Email five (5) JPGs at 1000 pixels on the shortest side to submit@hafny.org with "New Jack City" in the subject line. Please do NOT submit zipped folders of images.
Submit your bio, statement and other information via this form.
Fee: None
Important:
All submissions must follow the above guidelines.
Jon Feinstein and Amani Olu will select photographers to feature in HAFNY's online group show #45: New Jack City, which will go live in early April, 2015. We will announce selected photographers via Humble's Instagram feed @humbleartsfoundation and through our mailing list.
