Bios

Julia Gillard was born in Illinois and studied political science before she began taking pictures. She lives in Brooklyn.

Lisa Kereszi is a photographer living in New Haven, Connecticut, where she teaches undergraduate photography at Yale. She has recently published two monographs: Fantasies with Damiani Editore, and Fun and Games, with Nazraeli Press. She will be a 2010 MacDowell fellow.

Nana Taimour was born in Cincinnati, OH in 1979. She received her BA in Film from Boston University in 2002. Nana has been featured in Lost At E Minor and Vogue Girl Korea. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

Geoff Smith is a photographer/artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. His project Signal Nodes examines notions of home and transmission through evocative glimpses relating to places the artist has lived.

Logan Caldbeck is Canadian and American and was born 1983. In 2009, Logan completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec.

Ashley Valmere is a young photographer with a BFA in Photography and Imaging from NYU’s Tisch School of Art. In 2008 she won the Rosenberg Fellowship Grant in Photography and Imaging. She is currently living and working in New York City.

Nick Albertson is a photographer based in Portland Oregon. He received his BA at Bard College in Photography during the spring of 2006.

Pamela Pecchio received her MFA from the Yale University School of Art in 2001, where she was awarded the Richard Dixon Welling Prize for Excellence. Her work is included in collections at the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, and the Yale University Art Museum, among others.

Allison Sexton was born in 1980 and lives and works in Turners Falls, MA.

Catherine Kunkemueller was born in NY in 1968, where she currently lives and works. She received her MFA from ICP-Bard in 2007. Her photographs were included in How Soon is Now? at the Bronx Museum of the Arts in 2008 as part of the Artist in the Marketplace residency program.

Emily Keegin was born in 1980 in San Francisco. Emily attended Bennington College where she studied study photography. Emily also completed a Masters in Fine Art Photography from the Royal College of Art in London in 2009.

Mary Farmilant is a Chicago-based artist who earned a BA with Honors and an MFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago.

Amanda James is an honors graduate with a BA from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is now working on continual projects including one on her grandmother and other older people in their homes.

Sarah Faust holds an MFA from Columbia College Chicago in 2000, where she is an adjunct faculty member. Her work is in permanent collections at the MoCP in Chicago and the Ulrich Museum of Art at Wichita State University. A portfolio of her photographs was recently published in C international Photo Magazine, Issue 09.

Cassandra Ficacci was born in San Diego, California, in 1986. She received a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2009. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

Amy Eckert is an artist and freelance photographer based in Minneapolis. She is currently finishing up a long-term project, Manufacturing Home, photographs of brand new, manufactured homes around the US. This project was a finalist for the 2009 Center, Santa Fe Project Competition.
