Bios

Aaron McElroy is an artist living Brooklyn.

Alexi Hobbs, born in 1978, lives and works in Montreal. He also takes photographs.

Kora Manheimer lives and works in Brooklyn. She received her MFA in photography from UCLA in 2003, her BFA from Cooper Union in 1996, had a show at PS 122 in January.

Victor Cobo was born in Melbourne, FL (1971) and currently lives and works in San Francisco, CA. His one-person exhibits include American Dreams (Blue Sky Gallery, Portland, OR, 2007) and The Migrant Trail (Michel Novelozo Gallery, Davis, CA, 2005). He has participated in numerous group shows such as the prestigious First Look: Masterworks of American Photography at the Amon Carter Museum, Austin, and Photo Forum: Recent Acquisitions by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX. He was the winner of the Aaron Siskind Emerging Photographer’s Fellowship in 2007.

Mohammadreza Mirzaei was born in 1986, lives and works in Tehran/Iran.

Chuck Hemard was born in Louisiana, raised in Mississippi, went to grad school in Georgia, and now lives and works in Alabama, that is, “the Heart of Dixie.”

Marten Elder grew up in Rehoboth Beach, DE and currently lives and works in New York City. He received his BFA in Photography from Bard College, where he studied under Stephen Shore, and is a recipient of the 2008 Tierney Fellowship.

Rebecca Rijsdijk was born in 1984 and is currently studying photography at The Hague, Netherlands.

Katherine Finkelstein grew up in Los Angeles and received her BFA in photography from Bard college in 2007. She is attracted to light, color, friends, food, and flowers. She lives and works in New York City.

Martin Brink is a photographer based in Helsingborg, Sweden.

Michelle Gibson works as a photographer in Toronto. Her photographic schooling accompanies a BA in psychology. Michelle loves to photograph people in places.

Natalie Krick received her BFA from School of Visual Arts in May 2008. After graduation, she returned home to Colorado to concentrate on her work. Her work has been exhibited at the Visual Arts Gallery in New York and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Fort Collins.

Chris Bentley is a filmmaker and photographer. His films have played in festivals throughout the country. His photographs have appeared in multiple shows and are represented in private collections.

Jesse Meredith is from Brooklyn. He manipulates his images digitally, taking an original picture and responding on formal and conceptual levels to question the traditional considerations of photography.

Noel Rodo-Vankeulen is a photographer and writer born in Toronto. Currently he attends York University for a BFA in visual arts with a focus in photography.

Andy Tew comes from Georgia and his favorite food is fried provolone cheese.

Jake Stangel is a photographer, jacket-wearer, and life-liver based in Portland, OR.

Marc Burden lives and works in London, he has recently graduated from the MA photography course at The London College of Communication. His work is an exploration of the psychological relationships inherent in the portrait.
