This body of work uses the sky as a subject in explorations of light, space and time. In the images, space is simplified and flattened at times, and emphasized and expanded at others. Much like the sky itself, the viewer's understanding of the work is constantly in flux.
Kyle Seis will earn his BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in May 2014, and is a recent recipient of a Midwest Society for Photographic Education Undergraduate Scholarship. His work has been shown throughout Milwaukee and in venues such as The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, CO and the Serpentine Sackler Gallery in London.
